What is a Podcast?

Thanks to the wonders of cheap storage, broadband and some exceedingly helpful companies we have launched a podcast of the Sunday morning talks so you can catch up with some quality teaching in you own home!

What is a podcast I hear you cry? Well in this case I guess you could say that it is way of getting new studies automatically over the internet. You subscribe to receive our download from an outlet that offers podcasts, for example Apple's iTunes on-line store. This will require that you have software to accept and play the files, for example iTunes, which you can download here. The podcasts should then update automatically so every time we post a new study you can you have it delivered to your computer without all the hassle of going looking for it. Best of all, it's free!

You can subscribe to our podcast by clicking on the buttons below or by searching for us on the iTunes store (or equivalent) under the name 'The King's Gate Church Podcast'. For a full guide to getting the podcast click here or use the link on the menu to your left.

Guide to Receiving Our Podacst

Step 1: First, you need to make sure you have a program that will hapily receive and play our podcast, for example Apple's iTunes. If you don't currently have one of these programs, follow the above link to download and install iTunes.

Step 2: Once installed, you can either click on the button at the bottom of the What is a Podcast page or search for our podcast using the program's search facility. If you are using iTunes, for example, click on 'iTunes Store' located in the menu strip on the left of the page. Now in the search box at the top of the screen type 'The King's Gate Church' and you should find us amongst the search results. Now, simply click on the button next to our name which says 'Subscribe'.

Step 3: You should see a list of available studies and the latest will probably be downloading automatically. You can click to download any available studies that have not already downloaded. Each time you use this program, simply go to the 'podcasts' page and look for a button marked 'refresh' and it will search to see if we have posted any new studies. This should update all podcasts.

Please Note: I would not recommend subscribing to the podcast unless you have a broadband connection as you are likely to find it takes too long to download. With broadband it should only take a few minutes.
